Who we are
Working together.
Changing what sustains violence.
We work with individuals, relationships, communities and institutions to advance equality and prevent violence.
Men lead in prevention.
In response, they follow the survivor’s choices.

Why our approach is different
Evidence guides us.
Accountability grounds us.
We do not treat gender-based violence as a single problem with a single fix. Equality Allies Zimbabwe works on social norms, men and boys, women's economic agency and the services survivors depend on, all at once, because violence is rarely stopped at one level. Men lead where only men can: challenging how fathers, uncles, headmen and church elders treat violence among themselves. We also work where others rarely do. Male survivors, who have almost nowhere to disclose, and survivors returning to their families and communities both have a place in our programmes.
